After a year of lockdown, I finally felt ready to be part of the Erasmus+ training courses experience again. As a “deus ex machina” the DLS&SM call for participants popped up on my Facebook feed, so I immediately applied and a week later I was in Valetta. The project itself was structured so well – with the perfect balance between learning activities and free time – that every day felt not only full, but also like a new adventure. The trainers were excellent, the national agency really helpful, social-inclusion (the sending NGO) was supporting us the whole time and all the participants were motivated and joyful. The non formal education methods that were used made acquiring knowledge and skills, about leadership and stress management, a bliss. In our free time we got the chance to do some sightseeing, exploring almost every place in Malta, Gozo and Comino. Finally, I had the opportunity to make loads of new friends and to experience being a part of a very inclusive intercultural environment. All in all, this was an exquisite experience, a paradigm of how a balanced Erasmus+ training course should be.
